Since we’re headed into the holiday season, we thought we’d kick-start our blog by sharing a few braces-friendly recipes that are perfect to make during this festive time of the year. Easy Holiday Meatballs

These scrumptious meatballs will disappear fast, so be sure to make plenty for everyone!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons onion, finely minced
  • 1 (8 oz) can jellied cranberry sauce
  • ¾ cup chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon lemon juice

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, water, bread crumbs, and minced onion. Roll into small meatballs. Bake for about 25 minutes, turning once. In a slow cooker or large saucepan over low heat, blend the cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Add the meatballs and simmer for about one hour. Serve hot.

Pan-Fried Cinnamon Bananas

There’s nothing like the sweet & spicy aroma of cinnamon filling the kitchen on a chilly fall or winter day! These soft and yummy banana treats are easy to make and so good to eat!

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas, cut into ½ inch pieces
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Directions:

Put the cinnamon, butter, and honey in a frying pan and cook over medium-high heat until melted and well combined. Add the slices of banana and cook for three to four minutes until the bottoms start turning a golden brown. Flip the banana pieces over and cook for another three or four minutes. Remove from pan and serve right away.

Oven-Baked Ham & Cheese Omelet

This is a great way to use up all that leftover holiday ham, plus the recipe is fast and easy to make!

Ingredients:

  • 8 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons diced onion
  • Fresh chopped chives, for garnish

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. Beat the eggs, milk, seasoned salt, and pepper together in a large bowl. Stir in the ham, cheese, and onion. Pour the egg mixture into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the eggs are cooked and the omelet is set and golden brown on top. Cut into squares, garnish with the chives, serve and enjoy!
